Vanessa is a sophomore concentrating in Economics with a Secondary in Educational Studies. She is from Newark, NJ and lives in Eliot House. Her passion for education comes from seeing the stark differences in quality between the different schools in her hometown district and between her district and other neighboring towns. She is passionate about the impact of a quality education and hopes to create education equity in her city and nationally, as well. At Harvard, she serves as a mentor for the Radcliffe Emerging Leaders Program and takes ceramic classes in Allston.
