Jai Gillard is a senior in Lowell House, originally from New Orleans, LA, and raised in the communities of Greater Houston, Texas. With a passion for Psychology and a secondary focus on Educational Studies, Jai is deeply committed to bridging the gap between municipalities, education, and Black and marginalized communities while addressing the urgent need for mental health support in both academic and social settings. With a passion for educational justice, gun violence prevention, and equitable access to mental healthcare, Jai advocates for transformative change that uplifts underrepresented voices and creates lasting impact. Her mission is to foster stronger connections between institutions and communities, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of opportunity and well-being.

As a catalyst for change, Jai actively fosters cultural and educational awareness where it's needed most, championing vulnerability as a means to connect and empower.
